Pentagon UFO boss steps down after explosive admission
Uncover the developments in UFO investigations & Dr. Kirkpatrick’s surprising perspective on the existence of aliens, adding to his legacy within the UFO community.
The director of the Pentagon’s UFO office, Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick, has announced his retirement shortly after acknowledging the potential validity of a whistleblower’s claims regarding the US government concealing evidence of extraterrestrial existence.
In a recent interview with Politico, Dr. Kirkpatrick revealed his decision to step down, emphasizing that he had accomplished his objectives, even extending his retirement to assume the position.Â
He has led the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) since its establishment by the Biden administration last year. Over the past 18 months, the UFO topic has garnered significant public and political attention.
This heightened interest followed allegations by former US intelligence officer David Charles Grusch, who asserted that the government possessed evidence of ‘intact and partially intact’ alien vehicles during a congressional hearing on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), the official term for UFOs.Â
Grusch further claimed that individuals had been ‘harmed or injured’ in attempts to conceal this information.
Dr. Kirkpatrick disclosed that AARO had attempted to contact Mr. Grusch multiple times, a claim denied by the whistleblower. However, during an off-camera meeting with the press on Halloween, Dr. Kirkpatrick admitted the potential truth in some of Grusch’s assertions, stating, ‘We are investigating each and every one of [Grusch’s claims].Â
We’re cross-referencing those. There are some bits of information that are turning out to be things and events that really happened.’
As part of his departing tasks, Dr. Kirkpatrick will finalize a historical report consolidating the findings. His current deputy, Tim Phillips, will assume leadership of AARO until a permanent replacement is identified.
Dr. Kirkpatrick delayed his retirement to spearhead initiatives such as the AARO website, which shares declassified UFO information and enables military personnel and government employees to report sightings.Â
Additionally, he collaborated on a leaked draft paper with Harvard’s Professor Avi Loeb, suggesting that the UAP studied by AARO could be ‘alien probes’ sent to observe Earth.
While Dr. Kirkpatrick did not authorise the paper’s publication, he expressed no regrets about his involvement.Â
In an interview with Politico, he stated that the most positive outcome of his role would be proving the existence of aliens. He emphasised the importance of differentiating between evidence of extraterrestrial activity and activities by other nations in our vicinity, underscoring the potential risks associated with the latter.Â
This perspective may surprise UFO enthusiasts who previously labeled Dr. Kirkpatrick as a ‘gatekeeper’ of the government’s UFO secrets.
